Roof working platform for the maintenance of buses
Bus maintenance made easy
One of our latest projects was this roof working platform for a transport company. Our customer already had one platform on the left and on the right side of the hall for the maintenance of their buses, but wanted to maintenance the buses from both sides of the bus. Therefore, he decided to buy a euroline roof working platform with two lanes and to place it in the middle of the hall.
Before we designed the roof working platform, we first made a 3D-Scan of the hall in order to record all dimensions and interfering contours correctly. In this way, the exact position of the existing pillar crane in the hall could be recorded and the necessary contour cutouts in the pedestal could be determined. After the 3D scan, the construction drawing is created based on the recorded dimensions. This drawing is then integrated into the scan so that possible disruptive factors can be excluded again.
Customized roof working platforms by euroline
Each of our roof working platforms is individually designed to fit our customers purpose. In this project, we also had to consider some special parts. The existing pillar crane had to be integrated into the platform. In addition, we integrated a platform hatch, so that the customer can lower the loads with the crane through the platform. Due to the lack of space, the stairs are internal and not in the front of the platform as usual. The roof working platform is also equipped with pluggable railings. Depending on in which area of the bus is being worked on, the pluggable railings can simply be removed and temporarily stored on the bracket in the middle of the platform. In order to achieve a high level of working safety, the platforms can be moved up to the bus, so that there are no gaps between the bus and the roof working station. This is done mechanically using a hand crank.
