Production according to the new EU ladder Norm: EN 131

Production according to the new EU ladder Norm: EN 131 - We are ready!

From January 2018 onwards, we will produce our products exclusively according to the new DIN EN 131. The ladders will already be available this fall in accordance to the new DIN EN 131.

For the first time, ladders are divided into two test classes: commercial and non-commercial ladders. The test requirements for commercially used ladders are higher than for non-professional use. At euroline, all ladders are checked according to the test criteria for commercial use.

Therefore, we have factory test stands, built ourselves, in order to check the ladders in the service position instead of as before in a lying state. The stepladders have to overcome stomping tests with 50,000 cycles. For durability testing, an endurance test is carried out, in which the ladder has to withstand a weight of 275 kg in the operating position for 1 minute.

It is also new, that single ladders from 3m have to be equipped with a stand widening (crossmember). As a result, multi-part ladders must now be constructed in such a way, that the individual ladder parts from 3m can no longer be used as separate ladder.
